Marble Cake

I am a marble cake, peppered with crystalized insanity
Remember when Shakespeare said All the World's a Stage?
Pretty words and a pretty face mask a pretty boring place
Ink run's through my veins, and All the World's a Page
I once knew an honest man named Rob
Emotions bleed out, and thoughts are sharpened swords

Drinking drinking, drunk drunk
Who's the one who's sunk sunk?

Everything unwritten has been written before
Rob had a poor brother named Rich
Sunlight touches my eyelashes and dries my tears
We forget Rich, and only remember their last brother Dick

Thinking thinking, thunk thunk
Liquid love makes me drunk drunk

Here is my marble cake, wrapped up nice and tight
Ready for you to take a bite

I'm a California girl who wears her heart on her sleeve and always has her head in the clouds. I currently live in the Netherlands and am attending university at a small honors liberal arts college in the south. I have an artist's soul, a corny sense of humor, and a ravenous mind that hunts down the meaning of life everywhere I go. I love traveling, learning, questioning, experiencing, and am an anthropology and political science major who loves to write and make up stories about the absurdity of the world we live in.
